About PAAC

The Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) formed as a community-based fine arts organization on October 21, 2004. In just a few short months, PAAC founders developed and adopted a Mission Statement, Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation,
which resulted in establishing its 501(c)3 status.

Today, as a nonprofit organization, PAAC is dedicated to encouraging and promoting quality art experiences, programs, events and cultural opportunities for the greater Lake Country area. Membership is not restricted to any geographic area… we welcome members throughout the state and region.

The organization includes individuals, organizations, musicians, students, corporations, artists, educators, designers, composers, dancers and writers. We work together to celebrate and promote the arts in our community.

Events include: Showcase of Art, Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Competition for middle school students, Lake Country Art & Garden Tour, Plein Air Competition, Art & Garden Photo Contest, scholarships, community and virtual galleries, community art endeavors and partnerships with other nonprofit organizations. We also maintain our Joyful Free Art Library outside of Soul Fire Art Studio in Delafield, which offers free art and art supplies to the community.

You can make a difference in our community by becoming a member of our organization by sharing your talents and love for the arts. Members enjoy networking opportunities, and creating with other artists and art appreciators in our community.
