About Showcase of Art

Welcome to the Pewaukee Area Arts Council
2025 Showcase of Art
We were thrilled with the results and participation in our first two virtual Showcase of Art competitions in 2021 & 2023 and we’re happy to host it in the same manner in 2025.
In 2025, 259 student artists stepped up to this challenge by submitting 485 artwork entries for judging and display in our online gallery.
The high volume of quality artworks made the judging difficult again!
Categories included: digital/photography, 2D artworks and 3D artworks. The same as other years, we did not give multiple awards to the same artists.
While the number of award winners must be limited, we are so pleased that the online gallery makes exposure and viewing of all the works unlimited. Please share this website link with family and friends. It’s a great opportunity to broaden the reach of this community-wide tradition.
The first Showcase of Art was held in 2000 at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). It was developed to showcase student and faculty work, and expose the campus to the arts. The exhibit grew in popularity and participation when Waukesha County high schools and colleges joined in the show. In 2007, the Pewaukee Area Arts Council began coordinating the two-day event and made it into a biennial opportunity.
Fifteen Waukesha County high schools had students participate this year, an excellent showing! PAAC wishes to thank all the teachers who encouraged and assisted their students to apply, and all the students themselves.
We also wish to thank the team of judges who worked so hard to select award-winners: Juli Garton, Margie Koehler-Sacharok, Teresa Spencer, Lynne Buell, Stephanie Bartz, Heather Gergen, Anne Raskopf and Julia Jaegersberg.
Showcase of Art is truly PAAC’s flagship project, and we are overjoyed with our 2025 results. Congratulations to all who participated this year.
Kindest Regards,
Pewaukee Area Arts Council
